About
Hi, I’m Will Collier, the founder, owner, and operator of Dynamic State Sustainability, LLC.
I was raised in the agricultural foothills of North Georgia, and my passion for the outdoors has influenced every step of my professional career. Along the way, I’ve developed expertise at the intersections of environmental change and its interdependent social, political, economic, and ecological causes.
I’ve conducted environmental research, policy, and advocacy work on three continents: in the eastern Appalachians where I grew-up; in southern South America, where I studied beavers and stream ecosystems in Chile; and in East and Southern Africa, working at the interface of forests, communities, and global agricultural commodity networks. I’ve worked at research think tanks, non-profits, and taught at universities both in the U.S. and Kenya, the latter while serving as a U.S. Fulbright Researcher. I hold masters degrees in geography and environmental science from Clark University’s Graduate School of Geography and Yale University’s School of the Environment, respectively, and a bachelors degree in ecology from the University of Georgia’s Odum School of Ecology.
Thanks for visiting the site, be in touch, and let’s work together to address the many interconnected challenges of the twenty-first century.
